This certainly isn’t a new fun fold..it’s been around. However, with all the wonderful new products in the new Annual Catalog and all the cool Online Exclusives it’s a great one to revisit. If you’re new to this fold I know you’re going to enjoy what you create using it. If you’ve made this type of card before, I hope this inspires you to try it again with some brand new stamps and dies.

Here is the card I made for my video. I love how it came out and it wasn’t difficult at all. I let the products create the wow factor! I used a base of Misty Moonlight and layered it simply with embossed Basic White. The Soft Waves 3D Embossing Folder is one of my favorites. I love the bold swirls. I used a pretty background paper from the Thoughtful Journey 6×6 Designer Series Paper. It mimics water and a beautiful sunrise/sunset. I used the two largest circles in the Stylish Shapes dies to create the porthole and to create the water/sky scene. The porthole was then pierced all the way around and I added some small silver brads to create the hardware. You don’t really need to do this; you can simply leave it as is, add some small hole punches around it or pop on a few small silver embellishments. It’s very versatile. Here’s what you need to know to create this card.

CUTTING/SCORING MEASUREMENTS
BASE/BOX 1: (Misty Moonlight) 9 3/8″x4 1/4″, score at 3/8″, 1 3/8″, 2 7/8″, and 3 7/8″
PANELS FOR BASE/BOX 1: (Basic White) 5 1/4″x4″; 1 1/4″x4″; **Optional 7/8″x 4″

BOX 2: (Misty Moonlight) 5 1/8″x3 1/2″, score at 3/8″ and 1 3/8″
PANELS FOR BOX 2: (Basic White) 3 3/8″x7/8″; 3 5/8″x3 3/8″

BACK: (Basic White) 5 1/4″x 4″

I used Cajun Craze and Daffodil Delight for this sample. I embossed using a retired embossing folder with clouds on it but you could use any textured embossing folder for this. Stamps, dies and paper comes from the new Boho Vibes Suite of products. I love how cheery this card is.

This card ended up being my favorite – probably because I’m obsessed with the Kintsugi Inspirations Suite. The base is Misty Moonlight and the layers are Petal Pink. I created a gold embossed circle and used the dies in the suite to die cut flowers and pottery right from the Designer Series Paper. I love how elegant it turned out. Even the embellishments are gorgeous!!

Which one is your favorite? This is a fun way to show off all those new products from the recently launched 2025 Annual Catalog.

Happy Crafting!
