I challenged myself today to use some Designer Series Paper that gets overlooked too often. The Need for Tweed DSP is really unique so I decided to show it off on this Joy Fold Card. I love the textured look. This simple fold uses all that pretty double sided DSP that Stampin’ Up does so well. The Joy Fold is a great go-to fold when you need some cards quick!!

The Joy Fold has been around and is a really great fold. I decided that I wanted to use the Need for Tweed DSP on this one and since I was dying to use my new Pop Up Petals Bundle – well that’s just what I did. I really love all the texture. I embossed the front panel with the Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder for even more texture. As I showed you in the video, you can color the flowers with Stampin’ Blends or you can use the background stamp to fill in the flowers – or do both like I did and get two different looks. Here are the details…

The Brushed with Beauty Suite that debuted with the November Online Exclusives is my current favorite suite. Everything about it is beautiful. I loved making the cluster of stems and flowers on the front. The card base is Very Vanilla. I also used Calypso Coral to pull in the colors in the DSP. I die cut the images in Mossy Meadow, Calypso Coral, Darling Duckling and Very Vanilla. The flowers are stamped I Crumb Cake and Early Espresso.

This final card was a total whim and it worked! I used the Cake Day Bundle to create this fun cake instead of a mini card. The bundle is a lot of fun to work with and makes some unique cards that everyone will be impressed with. I used Everyday Happiness Designer Series Paper with this one. The base is Early Espresso. The cake is Early Espresso and Pecan Pie (so chocolate cake!! YUM!!) and I stamped in Early Espresso. You can really jazz this cake up with candles, flames, toppings and even sprinkles (because there is a stamp for that!)
Have you made a Joy Fold lately? If not, here’s your sign!! Happy Crafting!
