Here’s another spin on a shutter card that I think you’re going to love. It looks magnificent displayed and although it looks like it’s going to be a bulky card, it’s really not. I love an impressive card that doesn’t need a lot of postage because lets face it – if you send a lot of cards then sometimes size matters!

Have you seen the new Nature Walk Suite Collection? It’s a new suite in the current Mini Catalog. I love the tones and nature vibes this suite embraces. This is a set a products you’ll enjoy using all year long. The card base is Pretty Peacock and I used Lost Lagoon for the accent layers. I stamped in Pretty Peacock and Lost Lagoon as well. I had some retired ribbon that matched so I used it (because I want to use it up to make room for new!!!), but you can also use the Secret Sea ribbon that comes in the suite – it works, too! The Faux Bronze Pentagrams look great with the Pecan Pie tones of the DSP. Everything about this card just makes me happy!

I never tire of the pretty Kintsugi Inspirations Suite. It’s the DSP for me….so pretty. I also love the history behind Kintsugi. This card has a base in Petal Pink and then I added Misty Moonlight layers. You might notice I changed up the greeting and sentiment. I grabbed up the Words of Beauty Stamps and Dies for this card – don’t be afraid to mix and match. I stamped the words in Misty Moonlight and stamped the pottery in Night of Navy. To finish off the card, I added a die cut gold piece on the inside and then embellished the front with the gold Flower Accents.

I believe this last card is my favorite of the three. I didn’t intend to make this card but something about the Mixed Up Patterns Designer Series Paper called to me. When I saw the Old Olive paper designs I knew it would work with the new Hope Love & Joy Bundle. I got the front layout from a layout in the Mini Catalog. (Don’t forget that the catalogs are also idea books and are chock full of layouts, templates and color inspiration.) I love this new bundle of products. I colored the Earth in Old Olive and Balmy Blue. The flowers are Petal Pink and Old Olive. I’m so happy they added those flower and leaf dies! I grabbed the white embellishments from the Moody Palette Glossy Dots. This just makes the best note card. I think I’ll make a whole set of these as a gift for my mom. She’d love them and they’re handy all year long.
Don’t forget to check out all the new products in the January through April Mini Catalog. It’s a great one!!
Happy Crafting.
