Pillar cards are popular and fun to make. I really love this one because you can easily change it up making it super simplified or more fancy. I frequently created a traditional card opening for my sentiment, but sometimes keep it simple with just a panel. There are lots of ways to change this fun fold up for a totally different look. Use a different shape on the front, add layers, add die cuts, use wobbles, add ribbon….so many things to do!!

How cute is this card! I designed it for one of my sweet customers as a thank you card. I love the Mixed Up Patterns Designer Series Paper. There’s a little bit of everything in there and it’s one you’ll use for all kinds of cards throughout the year.I love the yellow stripes. And, check out A Round of Hellos stamps. They coordinated with the 2″ and 2 3/8″ punches so perfectly create your layered pieces. If you don’t have the punches, the Stylish Shapes Dies also work perfectly. I used Strawberry Slush for my base and layered Old Olive and a bit of Pretty in Pink. Those colors look so nice together. I stamped in Strawberry Slush and Old Olive as well. I embellished this card with Strawberry Slush Ribbon, Clear Wink of Stella, and Sparkle Dot Essentials. As you can see, for this card I created a space inside for the sentiment. Here’s what you need to know to create this fun fold.

How cute is this little Valentine’s Card? I don’t send a lot of Valentine’s Cards so when I saw the Wooly Friends Bundle I realized it works perfectly for Valentine’s Day, Easter, new babies, birthdays and for kid cards. Just change up the DSP you use to get a totally different vibe. I used the Made with Love DSP for this card. I also used the Reason to Celebrate Stamps because they have all the words you need for most card-sending ocassions. I used the “love you!” stamp on the inside of this card. The base is Real Red and I layered some Flirty Flamingo to pull it all together.

I simplified this last card by omitting the card opening and just adding the Basic White panel for your sentiment. However, I played up the pillar by adding a bunch of die cut pieces. I used the Nature Walk Suite for this card. I love love love it! The base is Lost Lagoon layered with Pretty Peacock and that gorgeous Nature Walk Designer Series Paper. I stamped in Pretty Peacock and Lost Lagoon as well. Also, I used circle dies from Stylish Shapes so you can see how perfectly they work as well.
Which one do you love the most? I know you’ll enjoy making lots of these cards!
Happy Crafting.
