Sometimes I find a fun fold that’s so easy. I think it might not be fun to make, but then realize “easy” makes it especially fun to decorate. I can whip up this card so quickly and spend time decorating and coloring – my favorite part of card making!! There are lots of version of an easel card, but I think you’ll love the side easel because it leaves you plenty of room on the right side of the card to write a message. You’ll want to try this one right away!!

I just love the Moon & Back stamps. It’s such a whimsical set and since my son (turning 30 this year!) loves all things space, he’s going to love this card. This is great for kids, but don’t overlook it for the young at heart as well. It’s a fun stamp set. I created this using Highland Heather for the base along with Lunar Luster Designer Series Specialty Paper and the woodtone patterned paper from the Mixed Patterns Designer Series Paper. I used Stampin’ Up’s brand new Stampin’ Positioner to stamp my moon for embossing. I like to use a positioning tool so I can stamp it twice with Versamark to really give it a good base of Versamark. I stamped in Basic Black. I used an oval punch (retired) for my stopper, however you can use pretty much anything as long as is pops up with dimensionals to prop up your little easel. Here’s what you need to know to create this card.

CUTTING/SCORING MEASUREMENTS
BASE: (Highland Heather) 4 1/4″x5 1/2″; (Mixed Patterns DSP) 4″x5 1/4″
EASEL MECHANISM: (Basic White) 2 7/8″x4 1/4″, score at 2″ and 4″
EASEL: (Lunar Luster) 3″x4″; (Highland Heather) 2 3/4″x3 3/4″
POP UP: Use a shape or die cut/fussy cut image elevated with dimensionals.

I used the Joyful Squares Bundle and the Square Snippets Designer Series Paper to create this card. The base is Pretty Peacock and I also stamped in Pretty Peacock. I fussy cut a flower from the DSP to create my pop up. I added some die cut leaves to tuck under the “love these days” and added retired ribbon to match. This card came together in minutes!

For this last sample I used the Cutest Crew Bundle (I’m obsessed) and the Splash of Sparkles Designer Series Specialty Paper to create this card. The base is Pretty in Pink. I die cut extra birds from coordinating cardstock to pull in the images I stamped. On this card my stamped birds are mounted onto a shape from the Nested Essentials Dies. Another simple card with total cuteness all over it!

If you’re looking for a simple fun fold this one fits the bill. It’s simple but cute – or masculine, or funny, or serious- this one really is versatile. Try it out and I know you’ll want to make them again and again.

Happy Crafting!
