This is a fun one! I really love how cool this feature looks on cards. Pick your favorite Designer Series Paper pattern and with several simple scores and folds you have a really cool pop out that also holds the card closed. I also love how this card stands on its own, pops out and is still flat and lightweight enough that you don’t need extra postage! That’s a win if you’re making a whole bunch of these beauties.

I used the cute Sweet Jar Bundle for this card. I also pulled out some Country Woods Designer Series Paper – it’s been a hot minute since I used this paper. It pairs perfectly with the cookie jar. I also like that I didn’t need to add a Basic White panel for my greeting and sentiment. I stamped right on that pretty paper. I used Basic Grey for the card base because it looks nice with the Night of Navy shades in the Designer Series Paper, and the lighter DSP has tones of grey as well so it pull everything together. I stamped the lid in Night of Navy, the jar in Basic Grey, and the cookies are Crumb Cake and Early Espresso. Here’s a tip – ink up the background stamp in Crumb Cake, stamp off, and then stamp the background. Next, stamp the cookies in Crumb Cake. Finally, add the chocolate chips using Early Espresso. There’s a lot of versatility in the Sweet Jar stamps. Those cookies can turn into jelly beans or pills – so this could easily be a Get Well or Easter Card.

I love how pretty this card came out!! I used Basic White for the base and layers of Melon Mambo. The Marbled Elegance DSP has retired (I thought it was still current – oops), but that’s ok. I also used the Encircled with Love Stamps and Along These Lines Stamps for the greeting and sentiment – they happen to pair very well together. This card also shows you another option for laying the paper. I added a thin strip of DSP to the front of the card to set off the flap. I also added a white panel inside. If you do that just make the panel 2 3/4″x3 3/4″.

Here’s another birthday card – I needed some masculine cards. I used the Need for Tweed Designer Series Paper. It’s fun and I feel like it pairs well with my silly greeting and sentiment. Those come from the Not 29 Anymore stamps. I grabbed the candles from the Choose Happy stamps and colored them in Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blends to pull in the Cherry Cobbler in the DSP. I also added some matching ribbon. I used the largest circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies.
What do you think? Will you be trying this one out soon? I bet you’ll come up with some gorgeous cards to give your favorite humans. Thanks so much for stopping by!!
Happy Crafting!!
