This started out with me wanting to create a couple of cute Valentine’s cards for my grandchildren. Then it morphed into me trying out the fold on several other stamp sets. I had so much fun. I’m obsessed with the Everyday Arches bundle! The sentiments are fantastic and the coordinating arches dies and soooo useful. I love how many layered arches you get the in the set. They can be used to make doorways, arches, rainbows and so much more. I’ve seen crafters use the smallest die to create elements on a simple card layout and I’ve even seen them embossed. They are very versatile. I found using them to create a Double Easel Card was perfection!

Pretty, am I right? For this card, I used Night of Navy and Balmy Blue on the base. Have you seen the Everyday Skies 6×6 DSP? So pretty. I love a good sky! I went one step further and created a shaker on the front of this card. The front of the card pairs Petal Pink cardstock and that gorgeous DSP. I used a variety of ingredients in my shaker…Loose Frosted Dots and some retired silver sequins. It’s a great way to use up some of those hoarded embellishments…yes I hoard them! 😉

Here’s how to make these!

CUTTING/SCORING
BASE: (Night of Navy) 4 1/4″x11″, score at 5 1/2″;
LAYER FOR BASE: (Balmy Blue) 4″x 10 1/4″, score at 2 1/2″ and 5″
DESIGNER SERIES PAPER: (Everyday Skies) 3 3/4″ x 5″ and 3 3/4″ x 2 1/4″
INSIDE LAYERS: (Balmy Blue) 4″x 5 1/4″; (Basic White) 3 3/4″ x 5″

Also needed: Petal Pink for die cut arches (x2); Window Sheet for die cut arch; DSP for die cut arch; embellishments; and, Adhesive Strips

I made this Valentine for my granddaughter. I used Summer Splash cardstock and matching DSP and Pretty in Pink. I colored with coordinating Stampin’ Blends as well. The inside sentiments is from the Hearts of Elegance stamp set. She’s going to love this card!

For my grandson (he’s nuts about dinosaurs), I made this cute card. The base is Basic White with Real Red. I used a mix of Designer Series Paper (from Terrific Toadstools and Marbled Elegance). He’s such a cute little guy…just like my grandson.

I used the Ocean Friends Suite of Products on this card. I am obsessed with this set! I used Lemon Lime Twist for the base and layered it with Summer Splash. The DSP is so bright and colorful. I’m on my second pack of DSP!!
