I am pretty sure my favorite Suite so far this year in the Kintsugi Inspirations Suite. I love it so much and I’ve started tapping into all the different ways you can create with it. It is so versatile and it works well with lots of other products. I love how I combined dry embossing with powders to really bring out the glam. I also used my Stampin’ Blends to color in the embossed images and wow did that make it pretty! I also decided to glam it up with a different kind of gold this time and used gold shapes in the background and some gold ribbon. It’s so pretty.

I used Pretty in Pink and Basic White Cardstock to create this card. I chose the white and gold DSP to bring it together nicely. I die cut a piece of Gold Metallic Paper and Basic White using the Nested Essentials Dies. My focal point on the front is that gorgeous vase. I stamped in Versamark and embossed in Gold embossing powder. Once the powder was set, I used my Pretty in Pink and Soft Sea Foam Stampin’ Blends to color in the foliage. I also die cut some gold accent flowers from the dies and finished it off with a little tag, Gold Striped 3/8″ Ribbon, and some Gold Flower Accents. I decided to bring the glam into the inside of the card so I embossed my message and added some more flower accents – and also colored them in with my Stampin’ Blends. It’s so pretty. The mechanism that makes the card twist open is simple to create but the lucky person to receive your sweet card will think you spent tons of time making it. Here’s how to create this card.
CUTTING/SCORING MEASUREMENTS
BASE: (Pretty in Pink) 4 1/4″x11″, scored at 5 1/2″
FRONT LAYER: (Embossed Pretty in Pink) 4″x5 1/4″
INSIDE LAYER: (DSP) 4″x5 1/4″ (x2)
MECHANISM: (Pretty in Pink) 8″x3 1/2″, withs short end at the top of the cutter, score at 1 3/4″ (which is in half). Then with the long side at the top, mark both long sides at 2 1/4″ and 5 3/4″. Score the opposite marks to create an “X”. *refer to video
PANEL FOR MECHANISM: (Pretty in Pink) 3 1/2″x 10″, scored at 2 1/2″, 5″ and 7 1/2″
LAYERS FOR PANEL: (2 each Pretty in Pink and Basic White) 2 1/4″x3 1/4″

This card was fun to make. I used Night of Navy for the Base. I embossed a Basic White layer on the front using the Sunrise Sailing Hybrid Embossing Folder. I also cut a large circle from the Stylish Shapes Dies and added the cute boat. I stamped the boat in Tuxedo Black, Real Red and Balmy Blue to keep that nautical look. Instead of using DSP on the inside, I stamped Night of Navy Stripes using the Painted Stripes stamp. Then, I created a boating scene on the panels in the center by die cutting multiple boats in multiple colors so I could mix and match the sails. Finally, I added a cute little tag that says “Ahoy” on the front. I attached some dimensionals and added a bit of navy twine I had in my stampin’ stash! I love how fun this card looks.

I created this last card using the Prairie Grass stamps. I really enjoy the simplicity of this stamp set. It’s just simple one color stamping and is still so perfectly beautiful. My base is Lemon Lime Twist and Black. I used DSP from the Full of Life 6×6″ DSP for the front and inside panels. I stamped in Black. This card comes together in minutes! I added some simple Brushed Brass Butterflies to finish it off.
If you want to make a card with a big impact, try this one out soon. You won’t be disappointed. There are so many fun ways to create with the Pop & Twist Fold. See you next time!!
Happy Crafting!
