I love this fun fold so much I made 10 Mother’s Day Cards in this style this year. Yes, it was a lot of die cutting to create all those flowers, but it’s worth it! I can’t wait for all the moms to receive their pretty flowers. This fold works so well for showing off all your favorite flower stamps and dies. I got so excited about these cards that I put them in the mail before realizing I didn’t take photos of them beforehand. Oops! That gave me reason to make a few more. You’re going to love this one!!

I used Blackberry Bliss and Pretty in Pink for this card base and layers. The Floral Impressions Suite has everything I needed to make the prettiest cards for all those sweet moms in my life. I layered some DSP on the front and the rest of the card is mostly stamping and die cutting. If you plan out your cards and do all your stamping and die cutting in batches, you can just sit and assemble your “floral arrangements”. It’s really the only time consuming part of the card and it’s the fun part as well! Oh, and I also used the More Messages stamp and Die to create the greeting and sentiment. This bundle is a great way to make lots of greetings all at once…it’s one stamp and one die with 20 words/phrases in 20 different shapes that you stamp and die cut all at once. You’ll definitely want to check this one out.

INK USED FOR FLOWERS: Peach Pie, Blackberry Bliss, Strawberry Slush, Daffodil Delight and Pecan Pie

Here’s what you need to know to make these.

CUTTING/SCORING MEASUREMENTS

BASE: (Pretty in Pink) 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, score at 4 1/2″
FRONT: (Blackberry Bliss) 4″x5 1/4″; DSP: (Floral Impressions) 3 7/8″x5 1/8″
INSIDE: (Blackberry Bliss embossed) 4″x5 1/4″ (x2); (Pretty in Pink) 2 3/4″ x 4″; (Basic White) 2 1/2″x4″

VASE: (Floral Impressions) 5″ x 2 1/4″; with 5″ at top, score at 1″ on each end; rotate so the 2 1/4″ end is at top; then, with edge at 3/4″, score down to the 1″ score line and then again from the 4″ mark/score line to the bottom; flip to the opposite side and repeat so you have 3 equal tabs on each end. **refer to video
STOPPER: (any color works) 1/2″x2″
MECHANISM: (Blackberry Bliss) 3 7/8″x5/8″, score at 3/8″

This card base is Strawberry Slush and Darling Duckling. I used the gorgeous Florals in Bloom Suite to create all these beautiful flowers. I added a white ribbon and some embellishments to finish it off.

Since I completely jumped the gun and forgot to take photos of all my other cards before I mailed them, here’s a screen shot from the video. Basically, I matched the flowers I created with the colors of the flowers on the front DSP. Otherwise the arrangements are similar. Check out the video to see each one in detail. I made 2 each of every card which gave me lots to send to my daughters, mothers and friends.

Now you know how to make the prettiest cards for those special people you know who love getting a “flower arrangement” in the main – and it won’t fade and die in a few days!!

And, cheers to all you fabulous mama’s out there. Enjoy your day!

Happy Crafting!!
