Check out the For The Books stamps and coordinating dies in the new Mini Catalog. They’re fun! I’m an avid reader and knew I needed these. I wanted to use them to make cards and bookmarks, so why not combine the two! I did just that with the help of the Pocket Thoughts dies. I love how these came out and I can’t wait to send them to a friend.

I used the new For the Books stamps and coordinating dies (find them in the Mini Catalog), the Pocket Thoughts Dies, the Timeless Plaid 6×6 DSP, Boho Blue and Calypso Coral Cardstock, and of course Basic White Cardstock. I coordinated my ink, using Boho Blue, Night of Navy and Calypso Coral. Don’t forget some dimensionals and Natural Tones Linen Thread. I finished off my card with some Antique Pearl embellishments.
Are you read to make some?

Check out this second sample. Instead of using DSP for the pocket, I used cardstock and created my own background with tone on tone stamping. For this card, I used Lost Lagoon, Old Olive and Basic White. Again, the Timeless Plaid works perfectly. I used Stampin’ Blends for the books. The ribbon is Wild Wheat but still works well with the color scheme.

Again, I created my own background with stamps, but this time stamped on Basic White using two different ink colors…Mossy Meadow and Calypso Coral. I love the little tassel on the books. The paper, of course, is also Mossy Meadow and Calypso Coral because I love the match factor!! I pulled out my retired Very Best Trio Punch to create decorative corners on my bookmark this time. (You could also use a tag topper punch.
Don’t overlook this stamp set…it makes the cutest cards and bookmarks. And don’t forget you can also use the stamps on actual books so everyone knows they belong to you!
Happy Crafting.
