I love the Designer Series Paper that has an entire beautiful scene displayed. This Layered Scene Card really shows off that gorgeous paper and creates a beautiful card. There are currently at least 4 DSPs that have scenes so you have lots of vibes to choose from. If you’re not into scenes that’s okay, because really any beautiful paper will work just as well. Once you know how to create this simple card fold, you’ll have endless possibilities.

I’m so happy with how this card looks. I used Night of Navy on the card base and the beautiful scene paper comes from the Everyday Skies 6×6 DSP. I’m so happy this paper carried over because I use it all the time! I stamped in Night of Navy as well. The boats are die cut from Cajun Craze and Daffodil Delight – both colors are in the DSP so it all coordinates beautifully. To create the waves on the front panel, I die cut the wave die several times on some DSP and then simply layered it. The clouds are just basic white but you could emboss them too or even dab on some color with sponge daubers. There are so many ways to step this one up! Don’t forget your panel to write a message. You can use the back of the second card panel or if you need more room just add a panel to the back of the card. Versatility!! Here’s what you need to know to create this card.

CUTTING/SCORING MEASUREMENTS
BASE: (Night of Navy) 8 1/4″x5 1/2″, scored at 1″, 2″, 3″ and 4″
PANELS: (Night of Navy) 3″x4 1/4″, 1 3/4″x4 1/4″
DSP: (Everyday Skies) 4″x 5 1/4″, 1 1/2″x4″, 2 3/4″ x4″; 7/8″x4″ and
(Basic White) 2 3/4″x4″

**If you want to add layers under the DSP – 4 1/8″x5 3/8″, 1 5/8″x4 1/8″, 2 7/8″x4 1/8″

I love this sample so much that I had to make several more in different colors. It’s stunning and both my daughters spied it in my office and ooh’d over it. The base is Fresh Freesia. The DSP is the Splendid Autumn DSP that carried over from last year (yay!!). I die cut the flowers to match the base and DSP. The stamps and dies come from the Impressions Abloom bundle. I love this card!

This simple card is great for a more masculine option or for something a bit more serious, don’t you think? The base is Secret Sea and the DSP is Beautiful Gallery. I used More Message for the greeting on the front. I love how the words all have dies (get the bundle – you won’t regret it!) The inside message is from Beautiful Motifs.

This last sample is on a base of Calypso Coral layered with the recently retired Wild Wheat. I’m going to be sad when I run out of Wild Wheat – I just love it. The DSP is from Thoughtful Journey, which carried over from last year. I used the retired Thoughtful Wishes bundle for the stamping and die cuts.

There you go – 4 card samples showing each of the 4 current 6×6 Designer Series Papers that have beautiful scenes. This fold really showcases that gorgeous paper. I know you’re going to create some beautiful cards to share with loved ones using this fold. It’s a good one!

Happy Crafting!!
