It’s been ages since I’ve made a waterfall card. Many times we make small waterfalls, however, this one is big and bold. I love that because you really can have tons of fun decorating the panels. It’s simple to make – the hardest part is deciding how you want to decorate it. Designer Series Paper does a lot of the work here!

If you haven’t checked out the Cute as a Bug Suite in the Mini Catalog, oh my goodness do it! These products are adorable and make great cards for so many occasions. They are great for both kids and kids at heart. I love that. I used Mossy Meadow, Cajun Craze and Basic White cardstock for my card. I embossed my Cajun Craze layer with the Everyday Plaid 3D Embossing Folder. The rest of it is the Cute as a Bug Designer Series Paper. I stamped the pull mechanism in Cajun Craze. I stamped the little Cajun Craze tags in Versamark and embossed them with white embossing powder so they really pop. Two of the little tags are phrases from Banner Sayings (which coordinates with the Three Banner Punch.). Most of my card is decorated with die cuts from the DSP. I love how they created so many images that you can use the dies on. And, if there isn’t a die you can easily fussy cute them instead. This card was a blast to make. By the way, I just used a retired tag topper punch I had in my stash for the pull tab. If you don’t have one, there is a really pretty on in the current catalog. You can also just use a corner punch to make your corners pretty and then push a little hole for ribbon.

CUTTING/SCORING MEASUREMENTS
BASE: (Mossy Meadow) 4 1/4″x5 1/2″; (Cajun Craze) 4″x5 1/4″
STRIP FOR BASE: (Cajun Craze) 3/4″x 5 1/2″, score at 3/4″ on each end
PULL MECHANISIM: (Basic White) 2″x8 3/4″, scored at 1 3/4″, 2 1/2″, 3 1/4″ and 4″
WATERFALL PANELS: (DSP) 3″x4″, 3″x3 1/4″, 3″x2 1/2″; (Basic White) 3″x 1 3/4″

I love Secret Sea paired with Strawberry Slush. I used the Joyful Squares Bundle and the Square Snippets 12×12 Designer Series Paper to create this card. I also grabbed The Right Words for the birthday sentiment on the pull tab. I did a little hand written words here so I could join together my phrases in a meaningful way. My MIL is an avid scrapbooker and she’s always telling me to use my handwriting because someday loved ones will want to remember what it looked like. (Not sure how long people hold on to my cards, but I know how precious her library of gorgeous scrapbooks are!). This card will be going to my other MIL since her birthday is coming up soon — I created it with her in mind. Isn’t it nice to be able to create a card specifically for a loved one! You can’t get that in a big box store!!

I had so much fun making this last card. I love the Wooly Friends Bundle. I used Shy Shamrock, Lemon Lolly and Easter Joy Designer Series Paper to create this cute little Easter Card. This will go to one of my many grandchildren! I used the colors in the DSP to color my tulips. The little Ewe is B-Ewe-tiful and quite fun to create. I also used the Reason to Celebrate Stamps for the “Happy Easter.”

I hope you enjoy making this Waterfall Card. Let me know if you do and what stamps and paper you used! I love to hear from you.

Happy Crafting.
