Here’s a card that very unique. It’s so simple, but who won’t be surprised and intrigued when they receive this cute little card! The fun in this one is how you decorate. It’s a great way to use small scraps of DSP and show off lots of patterns. I found so much joy in creating it and I hope you do as well!

Have you seen the Homemade Sweetness Suite? It’s so much fun!! I love the vibrant colors in the Designer Series Paper as well – this will take you through Spring and Summer!! My card consists of layers of Misty Moonlight, Strawberry Slush, Basic White and of course that vibrant DSP. I stamped and colored the berries in Granny Apple Green, Strawberry Slush and Misty Moonlight plus added a bit of Clear Wink of Stella to the berries so they are “juicy.” I die cut my front shape and heat embossed the greeting in White embossing powder so it really pops. I used the small flowers and a git of white ribbon to embellish my card. I love how it turned out! Here’s what you need to know to create this card.
CUTTING/SCORING MEASUREMENTS
BASE: (Misty Moonlight) 8 1/2″x11″, with 8 1/2″ at the top, score at 2 1/8″ and 6 3/8″ then turn and score on the 11″ side at 2 3/4″ and 8 1/4″. Cut away your 4 corner pieces and then use a corner rounding punch to round every corner. *see video
DSP FRONT: (Homemade Sweetness DSP) 2 1/2″x1 7/8″ (x4) *use different designs
INSIDE LAYERS: (Strawberry Slush) 4″x5 1/4″; (Misty Moonlight) 3 3/4″x5″; (Basic White) 3 1/2″x4 3/4″
FRONT CLOSURE PIECE: you’ll want a shape for the front -either a die cut shape from the suite or a circle, oval or diamond shape will work.

I created this card using Product of the Month products from January and February. You just can’t go wrong with these full size $5 products (when you place a $75 order). My card base is Misty Moonlight. I also used Darling Duckling and Basic White. The rest is that gorgeous DSP! I love the Fabulous Sayings Stamps here-so fun!

This last card is pretty special to me. I made it for my son-in-law who is currently deployed. He works so hard and sacrifices so much to excel in his military career and does it all for his family and with a smile on his face. We miss him tons.
I used Pecan Pie for the base and decorated it with Nature Walk Designer Series Paper. The stamps and dies are from the Service Essentials Bundle. It contains everything you need to honor military as well as first responders. My future plans with it are to create a stack of cards to keep in my vehicle so when we’re at the VA (my husband is a veteran) for health appointments I can pass them on to some of the veterans who could probably use a thank you, I see you, and I’m grateful for you! I love to give back and pay it forward whenever I can. 🙂
I just know you’ll enjoy this simple fun fold. It will surely brighten someone’s day.
Happy Crafting.
