If it’s been a while since you’ve made a slider card, this Peekaboo Slider Card is the perfect project to jump back in with! It’s simple to create, incredibly fun to decorate, and offers endless opportunities to customize with your favorite stamps, papers, and embellishments.

The design features three panels—a front, center, and back panel—so the construction is easy and most of the creative fun comes from decorating. You can create peekaboo windows in any shape, but I love using circles because they’re quick and easy with punches. Once you’ve made one, you’ll find yourself creating this fun fold again and again!

Peekaboo Slider Card with the Silly Old Bear Suite

Raise your hand if you grew up loving Winnie the Pooh and all his friends! The Silly Old Bear Suite is the perfect blend of nostalgia and whimsy, making it ideal for creating heartfelt handmade cards.

From the adorable Designer Series Paper to the Sweet of Friends and Sweet Words & Labels stamp sets with coordinating dies, this suite offers endless creative possibilities. It’s also perfect for scrapbook layouts and mini memory keepers.

For this card, I used Golden Glow Cardstock for the front and back panels and Pecan Pie Cardstock for the center panel. I embossed a piece of Golden Glow Two-Tone 12″ x 12″ Cardstock with the Hundred Acre Wood Embossing Folder to add texture and interest to the front. Designer Series Paper was used on the center layers, while the remaining details were created with die cuts, stamped images colored with Stampin’ Blends, and images die cut directly from the Designer Series Paper.

The peekaboo windows were created using a 2″ Circle Punch. To add extra dimension, I created decorative frames by punching a 2″ circle and a 2-3/8″ circle, creating a ring that perfectly surrounds the opening. This step is optional, but it adds a beautiful finished look.

For the inside, you can write directly on the Designer Series Paper, add a 4″ x 5-1/4″ writing panel to the back, or place a Very Vanilla Cardstock panel on the inside left section. The versatility of this design is one of the things I love most about it.

CUTTING/SCORING MEASUREMENTS
FRONT PANEL: (Golden Glow) 4 1/4″x8 1/4″, score at 5 1/2″; (DSP) 4″x5 1/4″
CENTER PANEL: (Pecan Pie) 4 1/4″x8 1/2″, score at 4 1/4″; (DSP) 4″x4″ **can use 1 panel or 2!
BACK PANEL: (Golden Glow) 4 1/4″x5 3/4″, score at 5 1/2″
OPTIONAL BACK PANEL: 4″x5 1/4″
EXTRAS: 2″ and 2 3/8″ circle punch – for the two peekaboo windows; Stylish Shapes Dies – I used the largest circle for the greeting on the back panel; Tear and Tape to secure the back panel edge.

Floral Peekaboo Slider Card

For my second sample, I paired Fresh Freesia and Hydrangea Hue Cardstock to create a soft floral design.

I stamped the center panel using floral images from the Flowering Meadow stamp set to coordinate with the lovely Berry Botanical Vellum. If you haven’t picked up this Product of the Month, it’s an incredible value at just $5 and works beautifully on a variety of projects.

I incorporated the vellum on both the front and center panels and fussy cut several flowers to create a dimensional bouquet. The greetings and sentiments come from the Phrases & Frames stamp set and fit perfectly inside the 2″ peekaboo windows.

I also added a sneak peek of the upcoming Gilded Wing Accents—beautiful gold metallic laser-cut butterflies that add elegance and shine to any project. I couldn’t resist using them early, and they were the perfect finishing touch.

Black & White Garden Peekaboo Slider Card

My final sample features a simple yet striking color palette of Strawberry Slush, Basic Black, and White.

The star of this design is the Artisan Sketched Garden Designer Series Paper. The entire paper pack is black and white, giving you the option to leave it as-is for a sophisticated look or color portions of the designs using Stampin’ Blends, Blending Brushes, Watercolor Pencils, or ink. It’s like having a beautiful collection of coloring pages designed specifically for paper crafters!

I colored selected flowers on the center panel and fussy cut one of the floral vase images to embellish the inside of the card. The sentiments were created using the Words of Beauty Bundle, which fit beautifully within the peekaboo windows.

This card demonstrates just how easily you can change the color palette and supplies to create a completely different look while using the same card design.

Give This Fun Fold a Try! The Peekaboo Slider Card is a fun fold that’s easy to create, enjoyable to decorate, and versatile enough for virtually any occasion. Whether you prefer whimsical characters, elegant florals, or bold black-and-white designs, this card fold can easily be customized to fit your style.

I hope you’ll give this project a try soon. Once you see that peekaboo panel slide into place, you’ll be hooked!

Happy Crafting!
