If you’re looking for a handmade card that’s guaranteed to wow even the most cynical of your card-worthy humans, this is the one!
The Pop Out Wiper Card has not one, not two, but THREE pop-out wipers that spring into action when the card is opened. It’s such a fun surprise and makes this interactive fun fold card a true WOW card!
This is the perfect fun fold for whimsical stamps and dies, but don’t stop there. It works beautifully with flowers, greenery, Christmas images, and so many other designs. Think about any stamps or dies you have with elements that deserve to be shown off—and imagine them popping out when the card is opened!
Today I’m sharing three different Pop Out Wiper Card designs to show just how versatile this fun fold can be.

A Neutral Noel Christmas Pop Out Wiper Card
Let’s start with this beautiful holiday card!
I love so much about this one, but especially the Neutral Noel Suite. It’s my favorite holiday suite for versatility, and I already know I’ll be using it for a large portion of my Christmas cards this year.
But here’s the thing I love most: this suite doesn’t have to go away after Christmas!
The greenery, pinecones, houses, and trees can easily be used for cards throughout the year. Simply change your greetings and sentiments and you’ve got an entirely different look. Even the Designer Series Paper can transition into other seasons and occasions.
It’s “neutral” in more ways than just color!
For this card, I used Early Espresso for the card base and the wiper mechanisms. I used small scraps of Window Sheet for the three wipers that attach to the mechanism pieces.
The base panels were layered with Basic White and Neutral Noel Designer Series Specialty Paper. I absolutely love the beautiful gold tones in this paper, so I added a few scraps of Gold Foil for even more holiday glamour.
For the three pop-out elements and the front tag, I layered greenery and pinecones. I stamped and die cut about nine of each branch style along with nine pinecones.
I stamped one branch style in Mossy Meadow and another in Old Olive. For the pinecones, I stamped them in Early Espresso and colored them with Light Pecan Pie Stampin’ Blends. Those two colors together create a surprisingly realistic-looking pinecone!
For the center pop-out, I used a circle from the Spotlight on Nature Dies to create a little tag and added the Love & Joy sentiment.
On the front of the card, I die cut a Gold Foil oval using one of the dies from the suite and embossed the Merry Christmas greeting with Gold Embossing Powder.
A simple red bow was the finishing touch.
I love how elegant this card looks when it’s closed—and then the three wipers create such a fun surprise when it’s opened!
Here’s what you need to know to create this card.

Cute as a Bug Pop Out Wiper Card
The second Pop Out Wiper Card is completely different—and absolutely adorable!
For this card, I used the Cute as a Bug Suite to create a fun, whimsical version of the design.
The card base is Mossy Meadow, and this time I skipped the middle layer and let the Designer Series Paper take center stage.
I fussy cut some of the adorable little creatures from the Designer Series Paper and attached them to the pop-out wipers. When the card opens, those little critters pop forward for the cutest surprise!
One of my favorite things about this suite is that so many of the dies coordinate with images on the Designer Series Paper. Being able to die cut images directly from the DSP makes creating cards like this come together so quickly.
This would make such a fun birthday card, children’s card, congratulations card, or just-because card. The Pop Out Wiper Card is a great design when you want the recipient to get a little surprise when they open their card.

Merry Mischief Christmas Pop Out Wiper Card
Of course, I had to make the final card another Christmas card because I was dying to play with the Merry Mischief Bundle!
I love gnomes! In fact, most of my Christmas tree is decorated with them, so naturally I had to grab this bundle. It has exactly the same cute and whimsical vibe that I love.
For this card, I used Poppy Parade for the card base and layered it with Mossy Meadow and Timeless Christmas Designer Series Paper.
Several of the pre-designed pieces on the front sheets of the DSP happened to work beautifully with the panel sizes for this card. I love when the Designer Series Paper does some of the designing for me!
I added some cookies to the second-largest inside panel and colored them with my Stampin’ Blends, carrying the cookie theme throughout the card.
For the front pieces, I used the Tile Garden Dies and embossed my greeting with White Embossing Powder.
To finish things off, I stacked a few presents on the front and added some Clear Wink of Stella here and there for a little extra sparkle.
I can already tell I’ll be making a few more of these!
What Do You Think of the Pop Out Wiper Card?
Fun, right?!
I love fun fold cards that look impressive but aren’t overly complicated to create, and the Pop Out Wiper Card definitely checks both boxes.
The three wipers create such a fun interactive element, and you can customize this card in so many different ways. Try it with flowers and greenery, cute animals, Christmas images, birthday balloons, butterflies, or anything else that you want to have “pop” out when the card is opened.
If you’re looking for a unique handmade card, interactive card, or impressive fun fold card, I hope you’ll give this one a try!
I’d love to see what you create. Take this fun fold and make it your own!
Happy Crafting!!
